We are more powerful
than we think!

The future we are heading into could be terrifying.  It's no longer just scientists, more and more people everywhere are extremely worried about what happens in the next 30 years as the climate and the environment start to break down.

It’s our future, and we have a right to know what’s coming. So we can decide what we want to do about it. So we have no regrets. The Week is a way to face what's coming and step into our power, for what will become - whatever we chose to do - our collective adventure.

What is The Week?

The Week is a 3-session experience with friends or colleagues to help us face the environmental and climate crisis and make sense of it.

What it's like to experience it?

Everyone who has been through it says what a profound experience it has been for them. At first, it's hard, but then it triggers us to step into our power. Now we know what we want to do.

Some of the largest employers, faith movements and environmental movements are on board. This could be big. But for now, this is still in a prototype phase, and you are amongst the very first ones who get to experience it.

You want to try it
with your friends or colleagues?
Here is what to expect.

3 days, 3 episodes

You get together as a group 3 times over the course of a week, hence the name The Week. Together, each time, you watch a one-hour episode (more below). And then you talk about it for 30 minutes, to make sense of it all.

3 sessions, in our busy lives? Yes! It's more than a football game. Much less than a season of Games of Thrones. Three sessions, that's what it takes to start what is perhaps one of the most important conversations we can have: What is coming to hit us? What can we do about it?  How can we step into our power, so we have no regrets?

A different take on the topic

We won’t talk about polar bears or melting ice caps. The Week starts instead with this simple question: "What will be happening to me, in my lifetime, where I live?" And what can I do about it?

The coming crisis will hurt everyone, conservative and progressive communities, rural farmers and inner cities residents. We all have a right to know what's coming, and to determine for ourselves what we want to do about it.

Episode #1
THE DESCENT

How old will you be in 2050? How old will be the children who you care about? We'll invite you to calculate this. So you know what's coming in your lifetime, in their lifetime – if we don't turn the ship around.  Episode 1 is the hard one. But it's the one we need if we want to be real about what's coming.

Episode #2
THE RECKONING

This episode is an honest conversation about hope. The problem is deeper than just climate change. And technology on its own won’t save us. We have to look deeper. At the story that got us where we are. And at the more beautiful story that is starting to emerge. We've often been told that to "save the planet" we need to sacrifice. What if that's not true? What if we’ve actually got more to gain than to lose?

Episode #3
THE ADVENTURE

This will defining adventure of the next 30 years, whether we like it or not. Every few generations get thrown a big challenge. This is our adventure.

We'll seek inspiration from those have had the courage to know, decided they wanted to do something about it. They found that their lives got richer in clarity and meaning and aliveness, and would never want to go back.  There are no "shoulds" in this story. This is all about finding our own, unique way to help turn the ship around.

If you want to host a session of The Week

Whether you've already watched the prototype and you liked it so much that you now want to share it with others.

Or whether you've just heard about it and want to try it for the first time. It's easy to organize a screening with a group of friends or colleagues, in person or online.

This is a prototype for a big dream.

People who've participated in The Week all tell us what a deep and rewarding experience it's been for them. We feel so honored to be creating something that is so meaningful to people!

Right now, the videos come in the form of three zoom recordings. Down the road, we'll turn this content into a 3-episode documentary series.

So consider this a prototype of something even bigger than will come down the road!

Right now, in the videos, it's two of us leading you through this experience. In the films, you'll see more diversity on screen - people of all ages, backgrounds, political views, ethnicity, ...

What more is in the pipeline? When the films go live, we'll also offer a support infrastructure after people go through The Week:
  • online and offline groups people can join
  • to help stay the course,
  • find their tribe and their way to contribute.

Who are we?

We are a group of friends, in our 20s, 30s, 40s, in the US and in Europe. Each in our different ways, we woke up to this crisis, and decided to create something simple and powerful to talk about it.

None of us does "climate" professionally. We have very different kind of jobs and care about lots of different things in our lives - education, farming, justice, economic opportunity, spirituality, our kids, you name it...

All those things we care about, we now know it's going to be much harder to make them happen if we don't address the elephant in the room - how things will unravel if we let the climate and environmental crisis spin out of control.

More about us

Who's already done The Week?

To test the storylines of the three episodes before filming them, we ran several  prototypes with a few groups in the USA, Canada, France, and the UK. Since then, this prototype version has gone viral and more than 300 groups have spontaneously signed up with more than 3000 participants.

We've learned tons about how to fine-tune our scripts to be as powerful and empowering as they can be.

But more importantly, we learned that even in the current zoom format, it creates a profound experience.

Some participants were hardly aware of the issue, others already deeply into it. All found it a powerful to face it and to make sense of it in conversations with people who matter in their life.

The Week is truly unique. It created a "before and after" for me. I keep talking with everyone about it.
– Michael, Maryland, USA
Before I felt small. Now, after watching the prototype, I feel focused and determined.
– Christine, Upstate NY, USA
I haven't experienced anything like it. The Week is spot on in the way it addresses the audience
across the political and religious spectrum.
– David, Rome, Italy
The Week is really powerful because there’s no blame. No one is pointed out, but everyone is responsible.
– Maud, Paris, France
My husband and sister-in-law now understand much better what’s at stake. I no longer feel alone in dealing with this.
– Marie-France, Canada
Episode 1 was hard, but I left energized after the third episode. Something powerful is getting started here!
– Didier, Paris, France
